RSI is the leader in profiling the specific activity in the corrosion film in piping and other plant components. This is the activity that results in occupational exposure to workers in the plant. This passive measurement allows for identification of the individual radionuclides present in the film and quantification as µCi/cm2 of surface area. This data is crucial in determination of corrosion product transport and source term identification. This information is used to quantify the effectiveness of source term reduction efforts.
