New SGBD Panel for Exelon

RSI has completed construction of a replacement Steam Generator Blowdown (SGBD) sample panel for Exelon. This complex piece of power plant equipment, which is essentially an entire room, was designed by RSI using state of the art 3D computer programs. The level of detail these programs give allowed for quick assembly of the SGBD sample panel. Shown are example images of the 3D renderings and the actual completed equipment at RSI's facility. The fully functioning sample panel includes sample coolers, pressure regulators, gauges, thermometers, water chemistry monitoring equipment and an on-board computer. This computer receives data from all the instruments, displays data as current values and trend graphs on the interactive touchscreen monitors, provides alarms for out of specification conditions and sends the chemistry data to the plant computer systems. This equipment is scheduled to be installed by RSI at Braidwood Generating Station in early 2014.
